Hello, and welcome to my digital portfolio. My name is Lillia Dean and I am completing my studies at Texas Woman’s University pursuing a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Fashion Design.
During my time at TWU, I have gained many professional design skills, in table top pattern design as well as computer generated design. I am proficient in computer programs such as the Adobe Suite including Illustrator, Photoshop, and Lightroom as well as Lectra Modaris and Lectra Kaledo software.
I have had the wonderful opportunity to intern with a small children’s wear business called Bailey’s Blossoms where I had the ability to create technical design packs, communicate one on one with the manufacturers overseas to complete Winter 2017 and Spring 2018 lines, as well as work with their wholesale sector of the company. With the internship, I also attended the wholesale markets in Dallas at Gift market and Kidsworld. This internship showed me the importance of every step of the design process, from concept to selling, and also made me aware of how things can be delayed if one part of the process is late. I also have had the pleasure of working locally with the Denton Community Theater to create custom costumes and alter clothing for actors of various show. These opportunities have helped me with time management and working as a team to get a project done in time for show day.
I have a deep desire to learn and perfect my technical design skills and am familiar with small PLM programs and understand how they work, as well as understanding the importance of attention to detail with such programs. The experiences through Bailey’s Blossoms and my time with DCT have helped shape my design knowledge and grown my already advanced sewing skills.
Please look around and enjoy my online portfolio. Feel free to contact me through the contact tab at the top of the page. I look forward to hearing from you!
